Jamie Moody

Jamie Moody


Jamie strives every day to own and model the company’s core purpose of “Helping Canada Eat Well and Live Well.” Being a passionate foodie means Jamie hits the gym pretty much every day! That passion also fires his enthusiasm for connecting great and innovative brands with the company’s route to market. And that route is extensive, reaching everywhere food is sold in Canada.

Jamie’s focus has always been to field the best team of people to bring to life the core purpose and get great brands in front of consumers in the best possible way. He is also energized by strong personal relationships with suppliers, retailers and people from the broader industry. After 20 years Jamie is more than ever, loving and proud of being part of Tree of Life.

Fun Fact:
While attending a food show in Germany, Jamie helped an elderly woman into a restaurant and to her seat. Afterward, several people asked Jamie, “Do you know who that is?” (he didn’t.) He was told, “That’s Dame Shirley Bassey- she sang the theme songs to 3 James Bond films, including “Goldfinger”, “Diamonds are Forever,” and “Moonraker.” He went back and said to her, “I think one of us is famous!” She was pleased to pose for a selfie.

Bill Ivany

Chief Operating Officer

After spending 31 years in the consumer packaged goods industry with sales agencies and manufacturing companies, Bill joined the Tree of Life team in early 2016 in the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Bill leads and over sees Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT. Bill is a people person who believes that meaningful personal and business relationships are earned based on a solid foundation of honesty, integrity, transparency and trust. Throughout his career Bill has demonstrated that his passion for growing brands, coupled with a desire to make all client and customer experiences mutually beneficial will lead to success more times than not.

Fun Fact:
Bill is an avid golfer, not good, but avid! He collects a logo golf ball from every new golf course he plays…he has lots of logo golf balls on display!

Chris Powell

Chris Powell

Senior Vice President Customer Development

Chris joined Tree of Life in 1991 after holding progressive management positions in Marketing/Sales at Kellogg’s and as VP Marketing at E.D. Smith. During his tenure with Tree of Life Chris has held senior Marketing position as well as Vice President Sales in Western Canada before coming to Toronto in 2005 to lead the National Sales team as Vice President Sales. In 2017 Chris was promoted to Senior Vice President, Customer Development. Chris is on the Advisory Members Council (AMC) of CFIG and an advocate of continuous learning as a long-term member of CEO Global Network.

Fun Fact:
Chris is an avid golfer both on the links and as a fan of the PGA!

Peter Clarke

Vice President Food Service

Following completion of the integration of Northbud into Tree of Life, Peter as VP of Food Service has been working to re-engineer our go to market strategy in this segment.

Fun Fact:
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 41 years. We met at a football game she was a cheerleader and I was the score keeper. Go figure

Gordon E. Walker

Gordon E. Walker

Vice President Finance

Gord joined Tree of Life Canada in 2006. He has more than 30 years of relevant industry experience in branded consumer products and distribution. In his current role he leads and oversees the Finance team of the company. Before coming to TOLC, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Premium Beer, and prior to that was Controller of Bestfoods. He earned his CPA, CMA designation from the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario in 1989.

Fun Fact:
Gord enjoys watching and playing hockey…..and in one season led his league in penalty minutes.

Helen Morrison

Vice President Human Resources

Helen joined the Tree of Life team in 1998. In her current role, she leads and oversees all things HR-related; Talent Management, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations and Succession Planning. Always the true professional, Helen believes that integrity, honesty and transparency are essential to building strong relationships and are the cornerstone to success in the HR world and at Tree of Life. An active member of the HRPA, Helen is well versed in all regulatory issues and industry trends. A graduate of Sheridan College, Helen also holds her Certified Human Resources Management designation.

Fun Fact:
Helen loves HGTV and home renovation shows in particular. In her spare time, she tries her hand at some DIY projects around the house; leaky faucets and painting being her forte!

Barry Sheldrick

Barry Sheldrick

Vice President Operations, Information Technology & Supply Chain

Barry joined Tree of Life in 1990. Barry leads the IT, Warehouse Operations, and Supply Chain teams. During His tenure with TOL Barry has been instrumental in implementing many projects and process enhancements. He continues to foster an environment of continuous improvement that ensures TOL provides world class service level and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost, by leveraging the best technology available. Barry strives to make every Customer and Client interaction simple and mutually beneficial.

Fun Fact:
Barry is an avid online gamer, XBOX is currently his console of choice.
